Gartner Research available to faculty, staff and students

Yes, that’s right! Information Services has contracted with Gartner Research, a major technology research organization, to make all of their research available to faculty, staff and students. The research is available 24/7 through myGateway and includes information such as:

• Technology product & services comparisons
• Higher Education IT issues
• Global and National IT trends
• Real-world case studies

Staff can:

• Validate technology decisions
• Analyze industry trends
• Explore best practices
• Compare vendors
• Explore educational technology solutions

Faculty can:

• Stay current with industry trends
• Use fact based data for classroom instruction
• Explore how technology is used in real-world environments

Students can:

• Conduct research for classes
• Analyze industry trends and much more!

Faculty and staff can access Gartner via the "Gartner Technology Business Research" link in the Employee Links channel on the Employee tab. Students will at present need to add the "Gartner Research" channel to their myGateway pages, though we are working with the Cypress and Fullerton College Library staff to find out whether adding the link to the library database channels would be appropriate.
