uPortal Error with FireFox Browser

Firefox's New Version (52.0.2) causing errors with MyGateway

On March 28, 2017, Firefox released a new version of their browser and unfortunately this too, in addition to Google Chrome) is causing issues with MyGateway. You can fix the issue by clearing any mg.nocccd.edu cookies that are in the browser. Please follow the instructions below to clear your MG cookies.

The error that is being reported is a uPortal error:

To fix the issue, go to Tools -> Options menu in Firefox.

You will get a tab that looks similar to below:

Next, click on “Privacy” in the left-hand menu, then “remove individual cookies” in the right panel.
A “Cookies” dialog will be displayed (seen below), type “mg.nocccd.edu” in the Search box at the top. This will display all the MyGateway cookies, select all the "mg.nocccd.edu" cookies by clicking the first cookie, holding down the shift key on your keyboard and clicking the last mg.nocccd.edu cookie. Once all are highlighted, click the “Remove Selected” button in the lower left-hand corner (Make sure you’ve removed all the mg.nocccd.edu cookies). Now, click “Close” the dialog box.

Next, close the “Options” tab by clicking the X in the corner of the “Options” tab.

Now, type “https://mg.nocccd.edu” in the address bar at the top of the browser and login as usual.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Web browsers are changing faster than we can keep up with them. We are working hard on a new implementation of MyGateway that will resolve these issues. Thank you!
